What You Can Expect

As our Maintenance Manager at The Ohio State University, you will be responsible for directing and managing the overall maintenance of the central utility plants (Steam, Chilled Water, Combined Heat & Power) on the campus. You will ensure that all assigned facilities are efficient, well-maintained, and properly serviced. You will lead, develop, and supervise a team of skilled employees daily.

You will also be involved in capital project reviews and installations from an Operations & Maintenance perspective. This role involves identifying short-term and long-term maintenance needs, assisting with capital project development, and reporting to the Director of Energy Delivery.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or G.E.D
• 5 years of supervisory experience
• Steam or natural gas turbine experience
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Microsoft Office, managing Maximo CMMS work orders, equipment history, and records
• Compliance with regulatory bodies (PUCO, OEPA, OSHA)
• Experience in maintenance, repair, and upgrades of utility plants producing steam, chilled water, hot water, compressed air, treated water, and electricity
• Development and improvement of preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Management of spare parts inventories and record systems
• Management of maintenance service contracts
• Analysis of equipment inspections and failures, developing repair and replacement plans
• Reviewing plans and specifications for capital projects, ensuring constructability and maintainability, and inspecting construction/installation
• Providing input to department budgets and managing budget and spending
• Contributing to capital plans for utility plants and recommending improvements
• Development and evaluation of direct and indirect reports, including performance reviews
• Performing other duties as assigned

Additional Details

• Attendance at the worksite on a daily basis is required
• Domestic travel up to 5%
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required
• Willingness to comply with ENGIE’s ethics and safety policies
• Approximately 10% outdoor work, exposure to weather conditions
• Subject to 24-hour call

Compensation

Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually. Actual salary depends on experience, location, and other factors. This includes a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
