Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong industrial maintenance background in steel stamping or metal forming manufacturing.
• Previous maintenance leadership, supervisory, or lead technician experience.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing stamping presses.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Experience developing and executing preventative maintenance schedules.

Maintenance Supervisor – Automotive Steel Stamping

Pay: $40-$50/hour (Based on Experience)

Industry: Automotive Manufacturing / Steel Stamping

Engauge Workforce Solutions is recruiting an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Supervisor for an established automotive steel stamping manufacturer in Chesterfield, MI.

We're looking for someone who can lead a maintenance team while remaining actively involved in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing production equipment. This is a working leadership position—not a desk-based management role.

• Lead and work alongside maintenance technicians, coordinating daily repairs and maintenance priorities.
• Troubleshoot and repair stamping presses and related industrial equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures.
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance (PM) schedules.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, minimize downtime, and identify long-term solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance personnel.
• Industrial automation, motors, drives, and PLC-related controls

What We're Looking For

• Strong industrial maintenance background within steel stamping or metal forming manufacturing.
• Previous maintenance leadership, supervisory, or lead technician experience.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical stamping presses.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including motors, drives, and industrial controls.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Experience coordinating preventative maintenance and prioritizing unexpected breakdowns.

Highly Preferred

Experience maintaining large-tonnage transfer presses, servo-driven equipment, and PLC-controlled machinery.
