Job summary

Ecovyst in Baytown, TX is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the mechanical, instrument, and electrical maintenance for the plant. The role focuses on planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reliability improvements to support continuous operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, people leadership, and experience with regulatory inspections and safety standards. This exempt role requires commitment to high performance and on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S. Engineering) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of maintenance and/or plant engineering experience.
• Knowledgeable on industrial maintenance best practices.
• Excellent people and supervisory skills.
• Able to obtain a TWIC card.
• Knowledgeable in basic accounting and budgeting fundamentals.
• Able to perform mathematical calculations.
• Proficient with computer systems (MS Office, SAP, etc.).
• Proficient with OSHA safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily maintenance operations and contractors.
• Provide primary interface to plant operations.
• Maintain maintenance forecast and monitor spending.
• Oversee area maintenance and capital activities.
• Drive improvements in planning, scheduling, PM compliance, reliability, and TA planning/execution.
• Ensure regulatory mechanical integrity inspections.
• Perform performance assessments to drive improvement.
• Drive area improvement by creating and maintaining an accountability culture.
• Ensure that all company and regulatory requirements are met for Maintenance Employees.
• Ability to work additional hours and on-call duties.
• Participate in Maintenance Network Team activity.
• Facility Security Officer (FSO/AFSO) duties as needed.
• Participation in Employee Excellence Committee

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall effectiveness of the mechanical & instrument/electrical maintenance functions for the plant.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for the planning and daily operations of the maintenance department, including contractors.
• Provide primary customer interface to plant operations.
• Maintain Maintenance forecast and monitor spending.
• Oversee area maintenance and capital activities.
• Drive improvement in Planning and Scheduling Activities, Backlog Mgmt., PM Compliance and Optimization, reliability, and TA Planning and Execution.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory mechanical integrity inspections.
• Perform performance assessments to drive improvement.
• Drive area improvement by creating and maintaining an accountability culture.
• Ensure that all company and regulatory requirements are met for Maintenance Employees.
• Ability to work additional hours to accomplish objectives and ensure high performance of the plant. This includes carrying a cellular phone and making call outs.
• Participate in Maintenance Network Team activity.
• Facility Security Officer (FSO/AFSO) duties as needed.
• Participation in Employee Excellence Committee

Required Qualifications:
