Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of mechanical & electrical personnel in the safe and effective execution of maintenance procedures.
- Oversee a maintenance program that incorporates both preventive and routine activities, aiming to minimize machine downtime.
- Lead mechanical staff in repairs or rebuilds of equipment to avoid breakdowns, ensuring work is completed safely and documented accurately.
- Develop and implement the training requirements and professional development of the maintenance team.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment problems and implement solutions as needed.
- Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring proper stock levels.
- Comply with corporate standards and applicable laws and regulations.
- Establish goals and objectives for the maintenance department aligned with plant and business goals.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Improve equipment availability and advance preventive and predictive maintenance programs to achieve plant reliability excellence.
- Efficiently utilize maintenance technicians and equipment, advancing planning and scheduling processes.
- Initiate and drive improvements through training programs, capital projects, and other means to focus on productivity and control of maintenance and capital spend.
- Analyze maintenance problems and devise and implement corrective action plans.
- Develop and maintain a parts inventory system to ensure control and proper levels of spare parts.
- Evaluate employee performance to determine training needs and development opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a plant-wide Maintenance Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline preferred.
- Experience in injection molding or foaming preferred.
- Proficiency with PLCs is a plus.
- Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage spare parts inventory and develop comprehensive maintenance programs.
Other Requirements
Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
