Job summary

Lynker Technologies seeks a skilled Maintenance Machinist to support NDBC operations in Stennis, MS. You will set up and program CNC machines and the OMAX Waterjet, machine metallic and non-metallic parts, and perform welding and repairs as needed.

You’ll collaborate with engineering on process improvements and may travel to remote sites for installation and field service missions, ensuring reliable weather and oceanic observations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with vocational-tech training in mechanical fields.
• 2+ years of machine shop experience with CNC, OMAX Waterjet, and metal/non-metal materials.
• Ability to pass NOAA background checks and security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Setup and program CNC machines and the OMAX Waterjet; optimize processes.
• Operate manual machine shop equipment on metallic and non-metallic materials.
• Perform welding and routine machinery repairs and maintenance.
• Work with engineering to improve machining methods and draw from drawings.
• Prepare field deployments and support field-service missions as needed.
• Travel to remote NDBC sites for installation, troubleshooting, or deinstallation.
