Job summary

Boge-Rubber- is seeking a capable Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment in our Kentucky facility. The role requires reading safety rules and technical manuals, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

You will inspect machinery, repair electrical and mechanical components, and assist with hydraulic/pneumatic systems. A technical degree or relevant experience is required, with flexibility for shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or 2–3 years related experience.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals, and diagrams.
• Exposure to PLC ladder programs and electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.

SUMMARY:Installs, maintains, adjusts, and repairs equipment in an industrial environment by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISIBILTIES:Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Performs preventive maintenance tasks that cannot be assigned to operators.Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors, manufacturing engineers or other maintenance works to diagnose problems or repair machinery.Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired mechanical and electrical parts.Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.Lays out assembly, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.Works with Facilities Manager, manufacturing engineering and supervisors to ensure operations are performed in a safe manner.Assists manufacturing engineering in improving the process and quality of existing or new equipment. Takes part in the pre-acceptance and acceptance of new machinery.Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.Sets up and operates machine tools such as the lathe, grinder, drill and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.Must be flexible to work any shift, overtime and weekends as needed.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Associates Degree (AA) from a two-year college, university or technical school or two to three years related experience and/or training.JOB REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to read metric drawings, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic diagrams and PLC ladder programs.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
