Diversified Technologies Inc. is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance – Machine Technician to join our team and keep our equipment running safely and efficiently. This is a full‑time, 40‑hour‑per‑week position based in George, Iowa.
The Maintenance – Machine Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This role helps minimize downtime, improve equipment performance, and support a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machines and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
- Diagnose and repair machinery components such as motors, bearings, belts, and gearboxes.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work orders.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
- Collaborate with production staff to identify and resolve equipment performance issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and facility improvement projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Three or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is required.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varying conditions, including standing, climbing, and confined spaces.
