Job summary

Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a maintenance technician at the Columbia Plant to perform preventative maintenance and assist in continuous improvement of mechanical systems. The role requires experience with industrial machining, hydraulics, pneumatics and welding.

The position operates on 12‑hour night shifts (8 pm–8 am) with overtime as workload demands, based at the Columbia Plant in Missouri. Training and collaboration with teams are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year mechanical equipment experience in an industrial setting.
• Industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmissions understanding.
• Welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) and fabrication experience preferred.
• Operate and troubleshoot industrial production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventative maintenance tasks per PM task list and follow up on work orders.
• Perform welding, machining and fabrication tasks; excluding Zone 1 sanitary welding.
• Conduct root cause failure analysis for equipment breakdowns.
• Develop and improve preventative maintenance plans.
• Execute planned equipment rebuilds/PM activities across the department.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement on mechanical design to improve line effectiveness and reliability.
• Support BOM and spare parts inventory for plant equipment.
• Provide training to associates as needed.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, contractors and 3rd parties.
