United States Cold Storage, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on reliable equipment upkeep, preventative maintenance, and efficient facility operations in a cold storage environment.

You will perform electrical/HVAC/plumbing tasks, diagnose issues, and maintain trucks and refrigeration systems. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced facility with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficient in building and equipment maintenance.
• Minor to moderate electrical, HVAC, and plumbing knowledge required.
• Maintenance troubleshooting skills essential.
• Welding knowledge a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform Maintenance Technician I duties and tasks.
• Battery maintenance and general housekeeping.
• Electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Preventative and general maintenance of HVAC systems and doors.
• Dock levelers/locks/plates, pallet racks maintenance.
• Facility maintenance inside and outside the building.
• Powered industrial truck maintenance and repair.

The Job Details:

We are looking for dependable hardworking individuals with good work habits, abilities to minimize downtime of all equipment, and operate the facility at its maximum efficiency. In addition, we need someone who works well with others and is self-motivated. Duties and Responsibilities can include the following:

• Can complete all Maintenance Technician I jobs and tasks
• o Including, but not limited to: required paperwork, battery maintenance, and general housekeeping and maintenance.
• Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting
• Preventative and general maintenance on the HVAC system, doors, dock levelers, dock locks and plates, pallet racks, etc.)
• Facility maintenance including inside and outside the facility
• Powered industrial truck maintenance and repair
• Refrigeration maintenance and repair

What We Are Looking For:

Education

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Continuing education in RETA and or other industry specific courses preferred.

Experience

• Proficient in building and equipment maintenance
• Minor to moderate electrical, HVAC, and plumbing knowledge
• Maintenance troubleshooting
• Minor to moderate welding knowledge

Other Abilities You Will Need to Have:

• Bend and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with assistance.
• Work in a temperature range from +50°F to -30°F with moderate noise levels.
• Lift overhead when required.
• May require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, or occasional standing, walking, lifting needed to carry out everyday activities
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Attention to detail.
• Effective communication and hearing are essential for safety and productivity.
• Operate scanners, tablets, radios, phones, computers, and other essential warehouse equipment as required.
• Overtime availability is essential due to demand.
• Operate a registered motor vehicle as part of daily tasks.
• Have acceptable and/or correctable vision.
• Engage in frequent personal interaction and communication.
• Possess strong arithmetic and reading skills.
• Follow verbal instructions, written instructions, and company policies.
• Be a self-starter, able to work independently and coordinate with others.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing stress and meeting productivity guidelines.
