United States Cold Storage, Inc. is seeking dependable maintenance personnel for our Bucks County facility.

The role involves general housekeeping of maintenance areas, logging tasks, battery maintenance, and routine equipment inspections to keep our cold storage operation running at peak efficiency. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, familiarity with hand and power tools, and a willingness to perform preventative maintenance and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of general hand and power tools.
  • Background in preventative maintenance is a plus.

The Job Details: We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals with good work habits, the ability to minimize downtime of all equipment, and to operate the facility at its maximum efficiency. In addition, we need someone who works well with others and is self-motivated. Duties and Responsibilities can include the following:

  • General housekeeping of all maintenance areas, including the refrigeration system
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Complete and log tasks as requested
  • Battery changing and maintenance
  • Equipment inspections, as requested
  • General maintenance including painting, cleaning, and preventative maintenance inside and outside of the facility

  • Reports To: Assistant Chief Engineer and/or Chief Engineer
  • Travel Amount: 0-10%

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have or be able to complete the qualifications below

  • Education
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Experience
  • Previous warehouse maintenance preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of general hand and power tools
  • Previous residential maintenance experience
  • Background in preventative maintenance

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.

  • Operate scanners, tablets, radios, phones, computers, and other essential warehouse equipment as required.
  • Overtime availability is essential due to demand.
  • Operate a registered motor vehicle as part of daily tasks.
  • Have acceptable and/or correctable vision.
  • Engage in frequent personal interaction and communication.
  • Possess strong arithmetic and reading skills.
  • Follow verbal instructions, written instructions, and company policies.
  • Be a self-starter, able to work independently and coordinate with others.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing stress and meeting productivity guidelines.

  • Maintain a professional demeanor in appearance and communications at all times.
  • Participate in staff and/or customer meetings as required.
  • Take initiative to prevent non-conformities related to product, process, and quality systems.
  • Identify and report any issues related to product, processes, and/or quality.
  • Propose and implement solutions through appropriate channels.
  • Ensure solutions are effectively implemented.Follow posted security procedures at all times while in the building.
  • Participate in safety and educational training programs.
