Job summary

Ascend Performance Materials seeks a Technical Specialist Maintenance Leader to direct a team of high voltage, analyzer, and DCS technicians in safe maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability initiatives across complex plant systems.

You will drive predictive and preventive maintenance, support turnarounds, and partner with Operations, Engineering, and Reliability to improve asset performance. Strong leadership and safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or AS in electrical or instrumentation preferred.
  • 7–10 years in chemical, petrochemical, refining, or heavy industrial environments.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with electrical distribution, analyzers, PLCs, and DCS in industrial settings.
  • Experience with reliability-centered maintenance and turnaround execution.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and environmental performance of technicians and contractors.
  • Lead and develop the technical specialist team and ensure accountability.
  • Own reliability-centered maintenance and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Guide turnaround planning and capital project support.
  • Coordinate resources and budgets in line with site goals.
  • Review performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
