Job summary

SP Associates, located in Georgia, seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead a hands-on maintenance function on the plant floor within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will manage an electrical, mechanical, automation, and controls team, drive preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize uptime, safety, and plant performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading and developing maintenance technicians.
• Strong electrical background and ability to troubleshoot controls and automated equipment.
• Experience improving preventive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, and electrical safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, train, and develop the plant maintenance team.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for electrical, mechanical, automation, and controls issues.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and equipment failures and assist technicians.
• Oversee maintenance of electrical systems, drives, instrumentation, and automation.
• Develop, manage, and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Reduce unplanned downtime through root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.
• Coordinate planned maintenance with Production and minimize disruptions.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, capital projects, and plant improvements.
• Manage work orders, equipment history, spare parts, and inventory.
• Identify recurring problems and implement reliability improvements.
• Manage outside contractors and vendors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, electrical safety, and Lockout/Tagout.
• Develop KPIs for maintenance performance and costs.
