Job summary

Country Village is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to join our team and support the upkeep of the facility. You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality for residents and staff.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, and the ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

• Experience in facility maintenance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, standing).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems (e.g., lighting, appliances, plumbing, etc.).
• Assist with daily upkeep of the building, including janitorial and safety checks.
• Ensure that all areas of the facility are clean, safe, and well-maintained for residents and staff.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents or staff.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with all safety standards.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces, as needed.
• Assist in ordering and maintaining supplies for maintenance-related tasks.
• Participate in the facility’s emergency response plans as needed.
