Job summary

IRT Living in McDonough, GA is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to act as the lead when the Senior Service Manager is away. You will coordinate with the Community and Senior Managers to keep operations running smoothly, manage inventory and vendor relationships, and handle hands-on maintenance tasks across the property.

The role requires 2+ years in property maintenance, EPA I & II and CPO certifications, and the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in property maintenance or related fields
• EPA I & II certifications required
• CPO certification required
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally; push/pull up to 200 lbs with equipment
• Strong communication skills with a professional, courteous demeanor
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be able to attend a company-paid, multi-day, out-of-state training within 2 weeks of start date

Responsibilities

• Lead the service team in the absence of the Senior Service Manager.
• Coordinate inventory and vendor relationships to keep operations smooth.
• Perform hands-on maintenance tasks (repairs, painting, apartment turns, pool upkeep).
• Respond to service requests quickly and identify safety or maintenance concerns.
• Ensure safety standards are followed and team members are trained and supported.
• Support inspections and preventative maintenance; participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
