Job summary

Independent Management Services in Pontiac, MI is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance staff, schedule contractors, and manage work orders to completion.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of basic maintenance concepts (plumbing, repair, etc.).
• Experience managing maintenance staff and scheduling.
• Ability to prioritize work orders within budgetary guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff, janitorial, and groundskeeper personnel.
• Assist in scheduling approved contractors to perform approved work.
• Process, assign, and track maintenance work orders to completion.
• Complete resident service requests and preventive maintenance tasks as needed.
• Supervise and assist in reconditioning vacant units including painting and basic repairs.
• Ensure property grounds are well-groomed and free of litter and clutter.
• Direct preventive maintenance programs including third-party inspections.
• Perform after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call duties.
• Maintain inventory and purchase maintenance supplies with Site Manager approval.
