Job summary

Continental is seeking a multi-craft maintenance supervisor in Sumter, SC to lead a maintenance team in a high‑impact plant environment. You will manage the multi‑craft technicians, schedule PMs, monitor safety, and drive TPM/PM concepts to reduce downtime.

You will mentor the team, coordinate with area leads, complete daily maintenance reports, and escalate unresolved issues after downtime thresholds. Strong mechanical, PLC, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge is required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Two or more years’ experience in maintenance within a production environment.
This role is an internal only position, external applicants will not be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the multi-craft maintenance team to minimize downtime.
Decide on actions for equipment downtime and schedule PMs.
Promote and monitor safety in the plant.
Provide TPM/PM training and problem‑solving (CBS, 5 Why, clean, inspect, repair).
Mentor the team and arrange training as needed to ensure capability.
Complete daily maintenance shift reports.
Escalate unresolved issues after 2 hours of consecutive asset downtime to the lead engineer.
Communicate with area leads on performance of the maintenance team.
