Job summary
SSAB Houston is seeking a Maintenance Technician to improve production by maintaining electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems and PLCs. You will manage the Maintenance Department, coordinate with contractors, and drive a safe, efficient operation in a rotating shift.
The role requires a High School diploma, technical training, and at least 3 years of related maintenance experience. You will monitor PM programs, control downtime, and uphold ISO standards while working with the Operations team
Qualifications
- Knowledge in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic pneumatics and PLC troubleshooting.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and computer skills.
- Preferred: supervisory experience in maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance: monitor and repair plant equipment to ensure efficiency and minimal downtime.
- Shut Down: coordinate schedules and supervise tasks with production to stay on budget.
- Preventive Maintenance: manage PM programs and identify potential problems for improvements.
- Communicates with Operators to ensure smooth operation and issue detection.
