This role is essential to our quality control; you will be the expert responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and refreshing the rental items that our clients rely on for their most important occasions.

Job Description

The Maintenance Manager performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on rental equipment. The Maintenance Manager should be able to diagnose problems and remove, disassemble, assemble, and clean components to repair our tables, chairs, heaters and other rental items. The Maintenance Manager should also be able to refer to equipment manuals to resolve difficult problems.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

  • Examining returned inventory and identifying the cause of breakdowns.
  • Performing maintenance work on tables, chairs, beauty mirrors, lamps, and heaters etc.
  • Providing rough estimates to warehouse managers on how much it would cost to repair damaged or malfunctioning items.
  • Repairing or replacing defective or damaged inventory components upon returned from customers.
  • Maintaining an accurate record of all items/parts used to repair, replace, or maintain our rental inventory.
  • Other duties and special projects as requested.
  • Maintain safeguards of confidential company information.
  • Repair rental inventory with high levels of quality and efficiency.
  • Knowledge in low voltage electrical, woodworking, and general maintenance (screws, rivets, etc.)
  • Utilize software to manage work orders.
  • Positive team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, go-getter willing to do what it takes to get the job done right.
  • Receive and execute instructions from Warehouse supervisors.
  • Great attention to detail.

Supervisory responsibilities:

  • None.

Work environment:

  • Often works in a warehouse/indoor environment that does not have air conditioning.
  • May occasionally work outdoors, in weather conditions such as heat, cold, sun or rain.
  • Often wears safety attire when in the warehouse, such as vests, masks, gloves, etc.
  • May work near other people, such as when sharing or entering office space.
  • May be exposed to loud or distracting sounds or noise levels.
  • Must be able to lift approximately 20-40 lbs. consistently; up to 70 lbs. occasionally.

Preferred education and experience:

  • One to three years of experience in manufacturing / production of warehouse / distribution
  • At least have 2 – 3 years of experience in appliance repairs.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a dynamic environment according customer needs.
  • Must be flexible and the ability to adopt to changes in the work environment.
  • Disposes of scrap material properly and recycle used cardboard.
  • Capable of reading and reviewing Packing Slips.
  • Familiar with safety standards for manufacturing environment, including OSHA regulations.
  • License and certification to operate heavy machinery, such as Forklift.
  • Bi-lingual/ability to speak Spanish is a plus.

Work authorization/security clearance requirements
