Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Lead to direct and coach a facilities operations team in a manufacturing environment. You will oversee daily activities, ensure proper staffing, and foster morale while aligning with safety and production goals.

You will also communicate with department leaders, drive process improvements, and develop technicians to meet warehouse standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and strong operational discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates information to department leaders and prioritizes repairs to keep production running.
  • Identifies process improvements in warehouse operations.
  • Develops technicians to meet warehouse standards and regulations.
  • Maintains a clean, safe working environment and reinforces safety culture.
  • Acts as go-to person for cohesive technician team and cross-department support.

Your Role on Our Team:

The Lead is responsible for directing and coaching employees.


You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:


  • Leads a team to support the day-to-day operations and activities of the facilities effectively and efficiently.

  • Works with Supervisor to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Serves as a back-up in the absence of the Supervisor.

  • Fosters a high degree of morale among associates, including providing feedback, recognition, and rewards.

  • Help Conduct or delegate shift start-up meetings; communicates information related to culture, safety, production, accuracy, recognition, and facility/HR updates to keep team members informed.

  • Provides timely, ongoing communication ensuring the appropriate dissemination of information to department leaders. Prioritizes repairs needed to keep the facility at peak production.

  • Identifies measures that can improve various warehouse processes.

  • Develops all technicians to become a valuable part of the team to ensure their skills are at par with warehouse standards and regulations.

  • Maintains and enforces a clean and safe working environment.

  • Drives safety and culture and holds team members accountable for compliance.

  • Act as the go to person for a cohesive team of technicians that are committed to the success of the department.

  • Communicate and support the other departments by support in their successes.

Physical Demands:


  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of tools and boxes

  • Standing for long periods of time, as well as repetitive motion

  • Operation of other equipment is a plus

  • Able to work in various temperature conditions

  • Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 70lbs
