Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Up to $38/hour, based on experience.
Position Purpose: Lead the mechanical/electrical maintenance technicians to provide maintenance services to all manufacturing and support areas while working within an approved budget. Focus on safety, quality, on-time performance, training, and maintenance reliability programs to ensure optimal performance.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Ensure safe work practices and procedures are followed. Identify unsafe conditions and take corrective actions. Report others immediately. Suggest safety improvements.
- Perform routine safety and environmental audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
- Support the Intertape Performance System (IPS) Safety Teams to ensure maintenance crew safety awareness. Participate in safety audits.
- Provide safety for site contractors. Conduct pre-shift safety huddles and complete required safety training.
- Maintain procedures supporting the maintenance reliability program.
- Train operators in effective PM activities.
- Schedule and assign work to maintenance personnel, coordinate with production, and enter work orders into the CMMS.
- Maintain equipment in like-new condition, schedule repairs to minimize production interference.
- Ensure Red Tag Program is current and accurate.
- Verify production equipment meets specifications and tolerances.
- Assist Engineering with modifications and new equipment installations.
- Identify and requisition parts and materials needed for maintenance.
- Review work requirements, target completion dates, and resources needed. Inform management of issues or delays.
- Review and schedule maintenance requests, manage unpredictable work.
- Assess technicians' skills for training and certification needs.
- Maintain maintenance records and communicate findings. Advise management of trends or issues.
- Write work instructions and procedures for the maintenance team.
- Be knowledgeable of hazards and precautions outlined in SDS.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Provide off-hours support to the maintenance team.
- Coordinate shift coverage with the Manufacturing Manager for absences.
- Comply with DHS CFATS requirements for PII collection and vetting.
- Perform related tasks as requested by the manager.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Two-year technical degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical sciences with 3-5 years of industrial experience, or a high school diploma with 5-10 years of experience, demonstrating comprehension and communication skills.
- Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and drive systems. Troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC drives, PLCs, and controls. Experience with Allen Bradley controls. Ability to lead a team.
- Problem-solving skills. Prioritize work effectively. Communicate clearly. Complete tasks timely. Project scheduling and team leadership abilities. Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Stand for most of an 8-hour shift. Walk, carry, push, or pull. Climb and use hands for duties. Operate hoist. Maintain 3 points of contact when climbing. Visual acuity for machinery operation.
