Job summary

The Maintenance Journeyman is responsible for conducting routine and preventive maintenance tasks to maintain the operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. This position also involves work on projects such as welding, fabrication, and light machining. The role requires knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as skills in troubleshooting and repairing equipment to reduce downtime.

This is a full-time position which will support our maintenance and manufacturing departments, reporting directly to the maintenance manager. It is based at our facility in Perrysburg, Ohio. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and tasks according to established schedules.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment issues.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
