Job summary

Tempur Sealy International, Orlando, FL, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support production machinery and facilities in a mattress manufacturing environment. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints, and document activities.

We value safety, teamwork, and strong problem-solving; willingness to work varied shifts and lift up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices in an industrial setting.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production equipment including sewing machines, quilting machines, foam cutting machinery, and assembly lines.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on all plant equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery and facility infrastructure, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
• Assist in the installation, relocation, and setup of new equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sche schematics, and technical manuals to facilitate repairs and installations.
• Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, as well as testing equipment, safely and effectively.
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with production personnel to minimize downtime and optimize operational flow.
• May assist in training less experienced maintenance staff.

Job Summary
