Job summary

Aviagen is seeking a Maintenance II to keep facilities operating efficiently, repair issues as they arise, and perform preventive maintenance on buildings, structures and grounds. You will perform basic mechanical repairs including plumbing, lighting, HVAC, wiring; check and repair equipment such as Rotem controllers, watering systems, ventilation, generators, wells and septic systems.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, flooring, masonry, electrical, HVAC.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools.
• Must read and follow task-specific instructions (Lock-out/Tag-out).
• Own tools including socket set, wrenches, saw, grinder, drill, volt meter, level, and tape measure.
• Must be a team player with strong verbal skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical repairs at buildings including plumbing, lighting, heating, and air conditioning.
• Check, install, and repair equipment such as feed systems, water, ventilation, generators, wells and septic systems.
• Repair wooden structures, install wiring (cat6), and perform routine maintenance on facilities.
• Grease equipment, inspect operation, and repair as needed; use PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Move and use ladders, power tools, and hand tools to complete tasks safely.
