Ohio Valley Electric Corporation is seeking an entry-level technician to perform technical work on all types of electrical systems in power plant environments. You will assist in engineering and environmental studies and in calculations related to operating efficiency, with opportunities for on-the-job training.
Promotions to higher-paying positions are available upon successful completion of training, with a potential to reach the maximum pay rate as you gain experience.
This role begins at an entry-level rate of $34.68 per hour. Employees are eligible to promote into higher paying positions upon successful completion of training, with the potential to reach the maximum rate of pay $54.26 per hour.
Perform technical and specialized work of a moderate grade of skill in connection with all types of electrical systems; analysis, detection and repair of defects in emissions monitoring, interlock and control systems, electronic devices including solid state equipment, communication systems, and instruments, such as; meters, gauges, solid state generator excitation controls, combustion controls, regulators, scales, coal handling, soot blower controls, and chlorination equipment. Assist in engineering and environmental studies, and calculations related to the operating efficiency of power plant equipment; and assist engineers in performing other technical services.
