POSITION SUMMARY:

Under supervision or guidance, perform maintenance duties to facilities and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean equipment and work area.
  • Service equipment (greasing, adding oil and washing).
  • Perform general building maintenance, such as paint equipment and buildings, change light bulbs and lamps, etc.
  • Operate forklift to move supplies and equipment.
  • Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Assist other maintenance personnel with equipment repairs, preventative maintenance activities, equipment installation or other assignments.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times. Exercise stop work authority if needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Up to 2 years of maintenance experience, or experience in a related area preferred.
  • Experience with forklift preferred. Must obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Accurately follow verbal directions and written procedures in English.
  • Proficient in the use of basic hand tools and tape measure.
  • Experience using power tools preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude needed.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Strong desire to learn.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged standing and walking.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds frequently, over 50 pounds with assistance. Utilize the principles of team lifting.
  • Frequent bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, climbing of ladders or stairs, and carrying tools and materials.
  • Work in extreme heat and cold.

By contractual requirements this position requires that all persons establish proof of US Citizenship. Dual Citizenship (US citizenship and citizenship of some other country) cannot be accepted. You will be required to provide original or certified copies of documents establishing your citizenship prior to consideration for this position.
