Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure reliability, safety, and performance of our production equipment. The role requires hands-on maintenance, reading schematics, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Base hourly salary ranges from $20.25 to $33.00 with a $1.00 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Weekend work may be required. Pilgrim's offers benefits and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced food production environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Maintenance experience required; 1–2 years industrial maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and mechanical systems; general math skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, drawings, schematics.
• Basic knowledge of standard and metric measurements; ability to work shifts including weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and test mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.
• Identify parts and equipment requiring repair or replacement.
• Utilize shop mathematics to complete maintenance assignments accurately.
• Read and interpret equipment drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Respond promptly to production issues involving mechanical equipment.
• Communicate effectively with production management and team members to diagnose and resolve equipment problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Complete assigned work efficiently while managing time and resources effectively.
• Follow all company safety, food safety, and quality standards.

What You’ll Need:

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Experience: Maintenance experience required; minimum of 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Skills: Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and mechanical systems; General math skills required to perform maintenance duties; Ab ility to read and interpret documents , drawings, sche matics ; Basic knowledge of standard and metric measurements; Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends as needed; Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physical requirements: Ability to work in extreme C ol d/Hot temperatures , ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day and lift 50 bs or more.
