Job summary

JBS USA in Green Bay, WI is seeking an industrial maintenance technician to inspect, operate, test, and repair machinery and equipment across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatics, and welding domains. You may set up, dismantle, or overhaul equipment such as gearboxes.

You will perform routine preventive maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, replace worn parts, and troubleshoot controls, working in environments with varying temperatures and tight spaces.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
• Basic knowledge of standard and metric measurements.
• Willingness to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, or test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.
• Test mechanical to ensure proper functioning.
• Dismantle machines and equipment to access defective parts using hoists and hand/power tools.

Job Tasks

• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.
• Test mechanical to ensure proper functioning.
• Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, and hand tools, or power tools.
• Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair. Operate hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance.
• Inspect mechanical components to identify problems.
• Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
• Trouble shoot electrical controls and components, and repair as needed.
