Maintenance Helper (2nd Shift)

Core Linen Services is a leader in hospital and hospitality laundry processing services across the country. Our focus is on service, quality, and safety, enabling our clients to provide essential services to their patients and guests. The company operates in over 20 states and is a portfolio company of H.I.G. Capital, based in Miami, FL.

Location: 9905 S 13th Street, Oak Creek, WI 53154

Schedule: Full-time; 2PM - 12:30AM, rotating weekends may be required. More details upon interview.

Pay Rate: $16/hour

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Helper to join our 2nd Shift Team!

Summary: Performs scheduled and non-scheduled daily tasks to maintain equipment during production operations, ensuring efficient operation within a commercial laundry plant. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and troubleshooting issues such as jams, belt problems, and tape issues on equipment. Seeks technical assistance from engineering as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Performs preventative maintenance activities as scheduled.
2. Ensures timely and quality completion of maintenance and repairs, including overhead rail and conveyor systems.
3. Assists technical and mechanical personnel, including outside vendors.
4. Maintains maintenance logs, recording incomplete tasks and new problems.
5. Notifies supervisors about equipment status impacting production or downtime.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Team-oriented, able to work independently or with others, self-motivated, prompt, and communicative.
2. Operates tools and equipment safely, understands safety procedures including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and working on hot equipment.
3. Knowledge of machinery, capable of helping repair and maintain mechanical drive, conveyor, and overhead rail systems.
