Job Overview

Responsibilities

  • Assist the CSC Pharmacist with daily operations, including adjudication of clinical claims and processing prior authorization forms.
  • Adhere to quality, customer service standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Obtain formulary alternative information and provide it to the pharmacist.
  • Complete and submit prior authorization forms to payers promptly.
  • Document actions taken to resolve clinical rejections within pharmacy systems.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, insurance companies, and internal staff to resolve rejected claims.
  • Maintain organized records related to claims management.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and management to meet departmental goals.
  • Contribute to ongoing evaluation and improvement of client services, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Pharmacy Technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy preferred but not required.

Skills & Abilities

  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Understanding of medical terminology, billing, math, and analytical skills is preferred.
  • Experience with patient accounts or billing is a plus.

Additional Details

  • Location: Remote after training; initial onsite training at 962 Dorset Rd, Troy, OH for 3-6 months.
  • Schedule: 2nd shift (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm, Monday - Friday, every 6th weekend 10 am - 6 pm).
