Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in the United States is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to keep the nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and orderly while maintaining a pleasing appearance. You will perform minor repairs and assist with daily upkeep to support quality care for residents.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform minor repairs as described in responsibilities.
• Willingness to assume Maintenance supervisor duties in absence of supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.
