Position Overview:
Perform general repairs in and around the hotel as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform general repair and maintenance of equipment in and around the hotel under the direction of the Property Superintendent and General Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of tasks and activities using the computer maintenance software.
- Ensure all safety systems are operational.
- Respond to guestroom calls as required.
- Assist other departmental craft workers as needed.
- Participate in the Fire Alarm Response Team duties.
- Work varying schedules as required by the hospitality industry's cyclical nature and attend all scheduled training sessions and meetings.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Fluent in reading, writing, and understanding the primary language used in the workplace.
- Skills in minor electrical, plumbing, A/C, painting, wallpapering, and carpentry repairs.
- High level of accuracy and neatness.
- Ability to stand and move briskly for up to 4 hours and reach various hotel locations promptly.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch for maintenance tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity for operating equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of hands-on experience in minor electrical, painting, plumbing, and A/C repairs.
- Ability to obtain/maintain necessary licenses, certificates, or permits.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance per company standards.
