Job summary

Ridgewood Center in Bedford, NH is hiring a Maintenance Assistant for a full-time role, Monday through Friday. The position offers a $2,500 retention bonus and full-time eligibility for medical benefits or a modified compensation plan adding 25% to the base pay.

Responsibilities include minor repairs, HVAC filter changes, and assisting with maintenance supervision when needed. Qualifications require a high school degree or equivalent, plus basic knowledge of wiring, Plumbing and carpentry.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent is required.
• Basic wiring, plumbing and carpentry knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds and equipment.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
• May assume Maintenance supervisor responsibilities in absence of supervisor.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.
