Tenaris in Blytheville, AR seeks a Base Maintenance Group Supervisor I to oversee preventive maintenance plans and coordinate engineering support for equipment startups. The role emphasizes reliability, electrical and mechanical diagnostics, and adherence to HSE standards.

The candidate will interpret drawings, manage inspections, execute LOTO, and lead skilled technicians in complex maintenance tasks across electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems within a heavy steel manufacturing

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or closely related field.
Two (2) years of experience leading technical teams in heavy steel manufacturing systems using PLC hardware/software including Rockwell Allen-Bradley hardware and RSLogix, ControlNet, and Ethernet-based PLC systems; developing preventive maintenance programs; troubleshooting and maintaining electrical AC motors; servicing pneumatic and hydraulic systems; maintaining torque transmission equipment and lubrication systems; performing vibration analysis; conducting root cause analysis using 5 Whys and Fault Tree Analysis; using precision instruments to verify mechanical integrity; and using SAP to manage maintenance.

Responsibilities

Develop and supervise the execution of the Preventative Maintenance Plan.
Ensure systematic failure, problem, and performance analysis on equipment, defining corrective actions, and generating improvement opportunities.
Support the Engineering area in researching and assessing best equipment and startup of new pieces.
Optimize reliability and maintainability by defining maintenance strategy and supporting emergency crews.
Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Perform and oversee inspections in area of responsibility.
Perform LOTO procedures on all equipment in area of responsibility.
Electrical and electronic inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and component replacements.
Conduct low- and medium-voltage panel repairs, PLC programming, and motor speed control operations.
Ensure resource availability and maintain stock levels.
Draw up the maintenance cost budget and control costs.
Ensure health, safety, and environment standards are applied.
Coordinate compliance with inspection plans and basic preventive maintenance.
Instruct team members and induct new hires on maintenance tasks.
Maintain maintenance information and reporting systems.
Follow up repairs for effectiveness.
Monitor alarms and PLC permissions; troubleshoot abnormalities on sensors, actuators, PLC components, motors, and VSDs.
