Job summary

General Motors Toledo is seeking an experienced Maintenance Group Leader to supervise a skilled hourly workforce, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment, and uphold safety, quality, and efficiency standards in our onsite facility.

You will lead maintenance tasks, drive problem solving, coordinate with other teams, and ensure compliance with SPQRCE principles while supporting the transition toward electric and autonomous vehicles.

Qualifications

• Must have one year of direct team supervision experience.
• Experience reading electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints.
• Ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with conflict management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and respond to the manufacturing daily plan, adjusting operations as needed.
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Drive accountability through people and processes; may require difficult conversations.
• Conduct checks and tests; evaluate results and communicate findings.
• Proactively offer solutions to operational or technical issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain productivity and quality aligned with standards.
• Implement safety and housekeeping practices and company policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues outside the work group.
• Supervise use of labor, inventory, and machinery; optimize resources.
• Establish action plans to complete jobs and projects.
