Job summary

Lincoln Parks and Recreation seeks a hands-on Maintenance Repair Worker I for Air Park Community Center and Williams Branch Library. Responsibilities include custodial duties, minor repairs, groundskeeping, and basic HVAC maintenance to keep facilities safe, clean, and welcoming for community programs and events.

Ideal candidates have six months in maintenance-related work, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m., with potential seasonal schedule

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in maintenance, repair, and construction activities in crafts such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical repair.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License is required.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility spaces and building systems.
• Complete minor repairs.
• Maintain indoor and outdoor cleanliness.
• Keep equipment and landscaping in good working condition.
• Perform routine custodial care, floor maintenance, and trash removal.
• Provide grounds upkeep such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and clearing walkways.
• Perform basic HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance.
• Organize supplies.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure the building is ready for programs, rentals, and community use.
