Job summary

Costello Companies is seeking a full-time Maintenance & Grounds Technician in Rapid City, SD. You will support the Site Manager in maintaining interior and exterior areas of apartment and townhome communities, ensuring proper operation of appliances, heating/cooling, and light fixtures.

Successful candidates have prior customer service and remodeling/construction experience, strong teamwork, and reliable, punctual work habits.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience.
• Previous remodeling or construction experience.
• Ability to take direction from others and work as a team.
• Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Must have hand tools to use on the job site.
• Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Must be available to handle after-hours emergency calls.
• Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.
• Exhibit a willingness to use vehicle to drive between properties and to get supplies.

Position Summary

The Maintenance & Grounds Technician is responsible for assisting the Site Manager in performing all duties and functions required for the efficient operation of their apartment and townhome communities. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of apartment and townhome communities. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician must ensure the proper operation of all appliances, heating and cooling units, and light fixtures.
