Job summary

Costello Companies is seeking a full-time Maintenance & Grounds Technician to support our apartment communities in Rapid City and surrounding areas. Travel is required, with a car allowance provided to help you reach multiple sites and stay responsive to resident needs.

You'll perform maintenance tasks, ensure appliances and HVAC operate properly, and collaborate with Site Managers to keep properties welcoming and safe for residents.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance duties including electrical, plumbing, drywall, appliance repairs, improvements, and other maintenance tasks.
• Get units ready for rent when vacated.
• Complete sidewalk snow removal for 2 inches or less.
• Maintain grounds by picking up trash, emptying receptacles, and weeding weekly.
• Inspect grounds and tenant units with Site/Regional Managers.
• Provide efficient customer service to residents.

Assigned Duties

1. Perform maintenance duties, including electrical, plumbing, dry wall, appliance repairs, improvements, and other maintenance duties.
2. Get units rent ready when they are vacated.
3. Complete sidewalk snow removal for 2” or less.
4. Maintain the grounds by picking up trash, maintain trash receptacles, and pull weeds every week.
5. Perform inspections of grounds and tenant units with the Site Managers and/or Regional Managers.
6. Provide efficient customer service to residents.

Position Summary

The Maintenance & Grounds Technician is responsible for assisting the Site Manager in performing all duties and functions required for the efficient operation of their apartment and townhome communities. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of apartment and townhome communities. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician must ensure the proper operation of all appliances, heating and cooling units, and light fixtures.

Salary Description

$18.00 – $22.00 per hour

Requirements

• Must have hand tools to use on the job site.
• Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Must have a valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.
• Willingness to travel to other communities to assist.
