Job summary

Good Samaritan is a not-for-profit organization providing housing and services to seniors in a Christian environment. The Facilities and General Services team maintains building systems and repairs, ensuring safety and comfort for residents at the Waconia campus.

The role emphasizes basic mechanical knowledge, the ability to work from blueprints, and adherence to safety standards across shifts. On-call duties may be required and advancement opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience in building systems preferred.
• Depending on location, a valid driver's license and a good driving record may be required.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, specifications, and ordinances.

Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks in a safe, professional manner.
• Must be able to explain conditions and troubleshoot accurately while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
• Work from blueprints, schematics and technical manuals when needed.
• May perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and bed repair and maintenance.
• May require on-call duties as needed or directed by the department.
