Good Samaritan Society – Albert Lea is seeking a Full-time Facilities Maintenance Assistant to perform light maintenance and cleaning tasks in a safe, professional manner. You will work with hand tools, meters and blueprints, focusing on safety and efficiency while supporting patient/resident care areas.

The role requires basic mechanical knowledge, the ability to read technical manuals, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have basic mechanical knowledge and able to use hand tools, meters, measuring devices and gauges.
• Must understand written and verbal communications and have good written and oral communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; trade/vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and maintenance of mechanical and stationary systems, including boiler operations, to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
• Maintain campus grounds and perform other outside maintenance duties.
• Perform general duties such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and bed repair and maintenance.
