Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a Laborer to join the military housing team at Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes, Fort Drum, NY. Primary duties include maintenance and cleaning of rental units, offices, and grounds, plus support for warehouse operations.

You will perform setup/cleanup for various projects and assist maintenance teams. A REAL ID compliant license is required to access the federal facility, with pay at $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• No specific tools required beyond basic maintenance skills.
• Basic familiarity with computers, web-based applications, and mobile devices.
• Ability to read and write in English and follow directions.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
• Entry-level knowledge of basic maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tools, equipment, and parts across the property; assist with events.
• Perform cleaning, painting, and general maintenance of property and grounds.
• Install, connect and service stoves, refrigerators, and other appliances.
• Move materials and equipment using wheelbarrows or hand trucks.
• Repair and fabricate window/door screens and frames.
• Assist with emergency repairs and on-call service as directed.
• Complete and submit work orders with time, materials, and notes.
• Maintain vehicle and inventory as prescribed.
