Job summary

The Darlington County School District is seeking a Maintenance / Grounds worker for the 2025-2026 School Year. This 260-day position offers a base salary of $14.39 per hour. Responsibilities include general maintenance of school grounds, ensuring an attractive condition of the premises, and reporting major repairs as needed.

Job Duties

• Provide general maintenance of the grounds within the school district
• Perform yard duties to maintain the school grounds in an attractive condition (e.g., grass cutting, trimming shrubs, etc.)
• Keep grounds free from trash and rubbish
• Maintain building and premises (e.g., sidewalks, driveways, play areas) clean and neat at all times
• Report any necessary major repairs and/or damage of district property
• Provide assistance in other maintenance areas as assigned
• Perform other related duties as required, as well as all other duties as assigned
