Job summary

Tyson Foods in Alabama is seeking a Maintenance Generalist to troubleshoot, maintain and repair production equipment while upholding safety policies. You will diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues and document corrective actions in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, completing reports, following safety programs, and assisting other mechanics as needed in a production environment with varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience or completion of an Industrial Maintenance Training program.
• Must list job experience related to work history on the application.
• Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Willingness to work shifts and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to the schedule.
• Complete required paperwork and reports.
• Follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures.
• Operate pallet jack or forklift as needed and assist other mechanics.
