Job summary

Tyson Foods in Scranton, AR is hiring a Maintenance Generalist to perform welding, cutting, minor electrical repairs, and system maintenance in an industrial environment. The role covers motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, and piping across all shifts.

Job Details: Role: Maintenance Generalist, MG01 to MG08 Shift: Multiple Shifts Available Base Pay: $20.35 to $29.10 base pay, commensurate with experience, ability to test up the pay scale as your skills grow Location: River Valley Ingredients in Scranton, AR Description: This position will perform task involving welding, cutting, minor electrical repair, removing and replacement of motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water and steam pipes, lines and systems in an industrial environment while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

• Requires knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, plumbing and boilers.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools.
• Require basic mechanical or maintenance skills.
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 30 feet.
• Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors.
• Will be required to obtain the certification and operate a forklift, skid-steer loader and man-lift.
• Must have the ability to read and understand policies, procedures and regulations.
• Must have the ability to document information.
• Must have the ability to communicate with others written and verbally.

Requirements

• Must have 3 months of industrial maintenance work experience listed on application.
• Applicants who have worked for Tyson three times or more will not be considered.
• Minimum 180 days waiting period from previous Tyson employment
• Must be willing to work A, B, C or D shift.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age.
