Tyson Foods, Inc. in Springdale, AR is seeking a Maintenance Generalist to help launch a new facility. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment and facility systems, supporting safe and efficient operations on the 2nd shift.

Qualificações

• 1 year of industrial maintenance experience (or related).
• Relocation assistance not available for this role.
• Candidates who previously worked for Tyson Foods or affiliates 3+ times are not eligible for rehire.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and safety maintenance across plant operations.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment, facility systems, and assets.
• Diagnose mechanical malfunctions with minimal supervision.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations.
• Complete preventive maintenance activities according to schedules.
• Document repairs, maintenance activities, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Tyson safety policies including Lockout/Tagout and Confined Space procedures.
• Assist team members and support startup of the new facility.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment, facility systems, and company assets


• Diagnose and repair mechanical malfunctions with minimal supervision


• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs


• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations

• Assist fellow maintenance team members as needed


• Start up and shut down equipment safely and efficiently


• Complete required maintenance records, reports, and paperwork

Unique Startup OpportunityAs part of launching this new facility, team members will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience through a variety of maintenance, renovation, installation, and operational support projects before production begins. This may include training and development assignments at nearby Tyson locations to build skills, learn equipment, and prepare for a successful facility startup. As such schedule, location and work may vary during the initial ramp-up phase.

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment

Work environments may vary and can include warm, cold, humid, dusty, or outdoor conditions depending on the assignment. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and stooping. Ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolding. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, depending on department requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• 1 year of industrial maintenance experience (or related)


• Previous Tyson Employees must wait 180 days before rehire


• Candidates who have worked for Tyson Foods or affiliates 3 or more times are not eligible fore rehire.


• Relevant maintenance experience may include: Industrial maintenance, Pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, conveyors, PLC and wiring skills, Mechanical repair, Electrical maintenance, Fabrication, Plant maintenance, Food industry experience is preferred but not required.
