Job summary

Parker Hannifin Baldwin Filters is seeking a hands-on maintenance worker to support yard care, light carpentry, painting, and basic mechanical tasks. Under minimal supervision, you will help keep facilities and equipment in safe, operable condition and assist experienced mechanics on more complex projects.

The role requires a high school education, and a preference for a few months of manufacturing or general maintenance experience.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: 3 months of manufacturing/general maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist maintenance personnel with routine tasks.
  • Replace fluorescent lights and perform plumbing duties.
  • Construct and repair structures and fixtures from wood following instructions.
  • Operate yard maintenance and shop equipment safely.
  • Paint equipment and structures as needed.
  • Complete job cards and inspection logs as required.
  • Keep work area neat, clean, and compliant with safety rules.
  • May work unscheduled hours to perform emergency repairs.

Position Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:

With minimum supervision, performs yard care, trash removal, snow removal, furniture moving, basic carpentry, painting, and assists experienced mechanics with more intricate and complex projects. Performs other duties as prescribed by supervision.

Responsibilities
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists other maintenance personnel.
  • Replaces fluorescent lights and performs plumbing duties.
  • Constructs and repairs structures and fixtures from wood and plywood following written or verbal instructions.
  • Operates various yard maintenance equipment, such as push mowers, riding mowers, tractor mounted mowers, and other various hand tools.
  • Paints equipment and structures as needed.
  • Operates straight shift trucks, forklifts, industrial tractors, lawnmowers, drill press, woodworking machinery, small power tools.
  • Completes paperwork as required, including job cards, inspection reports, logs, etc.
  • Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control.
  • May be called upon to work late evening, early morning, or other unscheduled hours to perform necessary emergency repairs.
  • Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Required: High school education.
  • Preferred: High school education, with 3 months of manufacturing/general maintenance experience.

Competitive Compensation:
  • Hourly pay range for this role is $21.45-$25.24
