Job summary

Wilmorite in New York is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform general maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment on company properties.

The role covers grounds care, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, tile repair, and routine equipment maintenance. A valid driver’s license is required, and overtime, weekends, and holidays may be needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds and parking lots, performing garbage pick-up, minor routine parking lot repairs, landscaping, weeding, and other related maintenance activities.
• Maintains building by performing minor and routine painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical wiring, tile repair, and other related maintenance activities.
• Performs maintenance and repairs on equipment, including small engines and electrical motors.
• Notifies the supervisor of the need for significant lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment repairs.
• Maintains motor vehicles (trucks, tractors, salters, and plows).
• Repairs and maintains all doors and entryway hardware.
• Cleans snow and debris from sidewalks and parking lots.
• Mows lawn, trims shrubbery, and cultivates flowers.
• Operates power tools and equipment.
• Must have a valid Driver's license.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
