BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) is seeking a Front-Line Manager for Maintenance in Barberton, Ohio.

You will lead a skilled trades workforce to ensure safe, high‑quality maintenance across the facility, supervising millwrights, electronics repair technicians, and Construction Specialists while aligning with safety, quality, and production goals. The role emphasizes strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to manage priorities in a union environment.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant supervisory experience, preferably in a union environment.
• Mechanical and/or electronics maintenance experience is required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills across diverse teams.
• Associate degree or higher is a plus; equivalent experience may be accepted.
• Microsoft Suite and SAP experience are desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly skilled trades employees in maintenance disciplines (millwrights, electronic repair technicians, Construction Specialists).
• Provide safety leadership and support across all maintenance activities.
• Assign work, set priorities, establish performance expectations, and address employee performance issues.
• Ensure equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and breakdown activities are executed to maintain uptime.
• Approve time and attendance for maintenance employees.
• Communicate with production foremen and welding technicians to align on repair needs and priorities.
• Provide technical guidance on equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and spare parts requirements.
• Report on safety, quality, equipment condition, and maintenance activities.
• This position is primarily for 4th shift with flexibility to transition between shifts and overtime as needed.
