Job summary

Complete Care is seeking a Regional Maintenance Assistant to support our skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers across New Jersey. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC/electrical/plumbing, and handle carpentry tasks to keep facilities safe and functional.

Travel between Monmouth, Essex, Union, Somerset, Middlesex, and Mercer counties is required. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required; healthcare maintenance experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintenance, handyman, facilities, construction, or building operations experience required.
• Long-term care, healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or trade certifications preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle.
• Ability to travel regularly between assigned facilities.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.
• Computer proficiency preferred.
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs on facility equipment and systems
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building-related issues
• Complete general maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and equipment maintenance
• Assist with facility inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
• Travel between facilities throughout Monmouth, Essex, Union, Somerset, Middlesex, and Mercer Counties
• Manage multiple projects and priorities across various locations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Work independently while collaborating with facility leadership and team members
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director or Administrator

• Participation in emergency on-call rotation required
