Job summary

The Chemours Company in Deepwater, NJ is seeking a Maintenance First Line Supervisor to lead the Area Mechanics, drive uptime, and oversee preventative maintenance for a 24/7 plant.

Reporting to the Maintenance Area Manager, you will coach teams, participate in incident investigations, and pursue safety, cost improvements, and talent development in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience required.
• Maintenance experience of 5+ years.
• Experience planning and scheduling work.
• Participation on a Six Sigma Team.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor Area Mechanics and act as line leader.
• Lead conflict resolution and foster a respectful work environment.
• Train by conducting job cycle checks per Central Maintenance Training Plans.
• Improve EHS performance through coaching, standards and training.
• Participate in area incident investigations and hazard reviews.
• Allocate manpower to maintenance tasks based on priorities.
• Implement preventative and predictive maintenance per reliability teams.

Maintenance First Line Supervisor At Chemours, our purpose is to help create a colorful, capable and cleaner world through the power of chemistry! The Chemours Company headquartered in Wilmington, DE has a Maintenance First Line Supervisor position available in at the Chambers Works Plant located in Deepwater, NJ. This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Operations function. This position will report to the Maintenance Area Manager.

Responsibilities

• Serve as coach and mentor, as well as line leader, for the Area Mechanics.
• Play a leadership role in conflict resolution and creating a respectful work environment.
• Play a key role in training by conducting job cycle checks as prescribed in Central Maintenance Training Plans.
• Strive to improve work group EHS (Safety, Security, Health and Environmental) performance and effectiveness through coaching, counseling, reinforcement of standards and training
• Participate in (and lead when appropriate) area incident investigations.
• Participate in or assign manpower to participate in mechanical related process hazard reviews.
• Implement appropriate levels of preventative and predictive maintenance for plant equipment based on work by reliability teams and equipment history.
• Ensure that maintenance related regulatory inspections and PMs are completed on schedule and documented.
• Assist in driving uptime and cost improvements for the area.
• Work with Maintenance Area Managers and Production Leaders to actively flow maintenance workforce between areas as required by site priorities and schedule.
• Be proactive in the area of self-development to increase skills that can contribute to business success in the ever-changing world.
• Set the example with the work force by being a model of “constant learning” and “retooling” of skills sets.
• Tracks, manage, understand and takes appropriate action to ensure metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) remain on target to deliver desired performance and cost.

This is a 24/7 facility and will require the ability to work occasional nights and weekends and be on-call as needed. This is a tobacco free site.

Pay Range (in local currency): $85,801.00 - $134,064.00 Chemours Level: 24 Annual Bonus Target: 6% The pay range and incentives listed above is a general guideline based on the primary location of this job only and not a guarantee of total compensation.
