The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, able to troubleshoot efficiently, and capable of traveling between store locations to respond to maintenance needs

Laundry Luv - Abilene - North 1st St is seeking a dependable, mechanically skilled, and solution-oriented Maintenance / Facility Technician to support our growing laundromat operations.

This is a hands-on, part-time role responsible for maintaining commercial laundry equipment and ensuring our stores remain clean, safe, and fully operational for customers and staff. The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting equipment issues, working independently, and responding quickly to maintenance needs to minimize downtime and keep operations running efficiently.

Schedule

This is a flexible, part-time maintenance position with a hybrid-remote structure.

Candidates must be available during store operating hours (7:00 AM - 10:00 PM) to respond to urgent repair needs and occasional equipment issues. The role also includes:

• Routine weekly preventative maintenance visits
• On-call or as-needed repair support
• Travel between assigned store locations

What You'll Do

As the Maintenance / Facility Technician, you'll help ensure all commercial laundry equipment and facility systems are operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial washers, dryers, and laundromat equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on laundry machines and facility systems
• Respond quickly to urgent repair requests and equipment downtime
• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and operational issues
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facility systems
• Help minimize machine downtime and maintain strong operational performance
• Perform basic facility maintenance and repair tasks as needed
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and communicate repair updates to management
• Ensure equipment meets operational, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Support store operations by maintaining a safe and functional customer environment

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, equipment repair, facilities maintenance, or a related technical field
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with commercial laundry equipment, appliance repair, HVAC, or similar machinery preferred
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, plumbing systems, and mechanical repairs
• Ability to work independently and prioritize service calls effectively
• Reliable, responsive, and detail-oriented
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel between store locations
